It is good to have vision

Letters

ONLY those who can see the invisible can do the impossible.
Show me someone who has never had any vision and I will show you someone who is mediocre.
Mediocre people don’t care if they do well in life or not, if they are getting good grades in school or not.
These are average people or students. People of Papua New Guinea, please let us raise our eyes a bit higher.
We might be thinking that we have done enough in terms of development.
We are not.
We still have a long way to go.
This should prompt the young minds of this country to really gear up and head towards doing great things for Papua New Guinea.
I had a recent trip to the United States and at the airport, my driver asked me:
“Where are you from?”
I said: “I am from Papua New Guinea.”
What he said next was: “Where the hell is Papua New Guinea?”
I do not blame him for not knowing our country.
I will blame us for not doing the best we could to raise our country to the top.
We need more Papua New Guineans to be the best in sports, in academic studies, in all realms of work so through them we can raise our country.
Just like we attach the fastest runner in the world Usain Bolt to Jamaica, your country will be known if you do great things.
We need more people in the country with vision.
We need to be seeing the invisible and working towards achieving them.
You being a Papua New Guinean does not mean you cannot do great things.
