Jamas will be aiming for an upset over Scorpions when they meet in the women’s premier division game in the National Capital District volleyball competition at the Taurama Aquatic and Indoor Stadium on Saturday.
This weekend’s game will be the opening of the second round of season 2016.
Scorpions are currently in third spot after Ela Motors and PTPSL Telikom while Jamas are fifth with MJ Electrical U-Mi Yet on forth.
The result of this match will be critical for the two teams as competition is heating up as teams adapt to the new indoor facilities and aim to maintain or improve their standings.
Scorpions will be heavily relying on current international players, Micelle Walo and Isa Hicks at middle blocks, who also will cover 80 per cent of the Stingers’ offence and play leading roles on the court.
Jane Gima, Helen Walo, Aluvula  Aunama, Yvonne Mea and Vavine Walo will be covering the gaps to ensure the game flows smoothly in their favour. Jamas have recruited sisters Manu and Paulo Kapu, with Veari Aunama and Diane Loi from Hula and Irupara teaming up with current Papua New Guinea utility, Clera Kila.
With the inclusion of these players, Jamas is now transforming into a solid team with coach PK Morea at the helm.
