Joyce Bay looking forward to staging touch rugby finals

THE Joyce Bay Touch Rugby Association is looking forward to staging the top-eight finals for the senior men’s and B-grade divisions at the Joyce Bay Touch Field this weekend.
The association completed its first top-eight finals for the women’s division last Sunday.
The association started its competition in the middle of the year and captured the interest of youths in the community.
Spokesman Ian Serege said a committee headed by association president Tony Henry ran the competition.
Henry said it was relief now that the season was coming to a close.
He congratulated the top-eight teams in each division for making it to the finals. Henry also stressed that competition played a crucial role in developing a youths.
“The competition helps them stay fit,” he said.
“It also involves them in promoting gender equality to build healthy relationships in the community.”
Henry called on all the community members of Joyce Bay to attend the finals and support their teams responsibly.
“We want to build a good relationship with our youths,” he said.
