Juffa remains with Govt

NORTHERN Governor Gary Juffa says he is remaining with the Government because change does not happen overnight.
“The cliché “Rome was not built in a day” is very applicable here,” Juffa said in a video posted on his Facebook page yesterday.
“It takes time, especially when you are rebuilding what is broken, what is burnt down, what has been destroyed.”
Juffa said people had seen projects introduced by the Government for upgrade of roads, and health and education facilities in the country.
“I have many friends and colleagues that I respect who are on the other side (Opposition) who are opting to change this Government and have voiced their concerns and reasons.”
Juffa said there were concerns and reasons that were worth considering.
“But for me they are not compelling enough to want to change this Government,” he said.
He said he had consulted widely with people in his province, most of whom had insisted he remained with the Government.
Meanwhile, Central Governor Robert Agarobe, who is part of the Government, said they were intact.
“I want to notify you all that the Government is still intact and functioning and work would go on,” he said on his Facebook page.

  • Change does not happen overnight

PM JM has done alot in changeing the resource law so we have to wait and see it’s fruitfiulnes in near future. Can we wait a litle and see the fruits it’s going to bear. I thiink the future genetration will eat some good fruits.

Thanks JM for the change in the resource laws which you initiated at your term which have been overlooked by previous PM and the floor.

  • The way forward. Real leaders fighting to eradicating corruption and now is the time fighting it.

  • YES! You wise man Governor GJ.
Only a fool makes a move at this times.
The wise and the incorrupt remain intact.
It is a clear comparison of the difference between the “eaters” and the “truths.”
The stealer, the liar, the thief and the bad are impatient. They lack patience.!!!

  • A very wiseman who always put people first and make wise decisions for the good of our country to stay with the current government, good on you Garry Juffa…

  • Good Governor of Oro you have eyes to see and intellectual power to discern the future of this resourceful nation
as our MP JM in his statement ”Lets take back PNG”his move was to take back our natural resources , there is a hope and a light in the tunnel of this country we as cizten of this nation are with you and full support

  • Thank you Governor Jufa for making a great decision to intact with government. True leaders always put people first.

  • PMJM and the current government is seen to be taking a proactive measures to bring back PNG. Why are so called opposition members of parliament who are opting to change this Government when PMJM has just started a good work to bring back PNG. I salute you PMJM.

  • ORO people have a very great and wise leader, who drives their vehicle (province) right handed, I for one admire his leadership and how speaks, while all those idiots listen and can’t understand what he says.

  • Good Governor, you hit the nail on the head with the cliché “Rome was not built in a day*.
So why now your selfish politicians,, Do not side with BN he is here to destabilized the democracy because he got an agenda to prove with certain people. It is not for the good of the country but his ego..

So let the government run its term out and then we can go back to the polls to re-elect our new members .

Hopefully our people will elect the best people instead of the clowns and comedians that we see time and time again.

All the best Governor stick to your guns..

  • GJ you are one of our honorable leaders , man of integrity, honesty and uprightness. Your young colleague governors in the likes of AB (ESP) and PN (EHP) are few remaining MPs to hold this government together. You are our examples, role models and will always look up to you to lead our country out of corruption and negotiate for fair equity on all of our natural resources.

  • I agree with you Juffa, you grew up in Ialibu, from your boyhood to your teenage and you understand very well the way of life to respect and uphold what is right and what it means to stand together with a brother or countryman no matter what, ino blo kamap wara na foul nabaut na tok mipla just move tasol na taim dust slek go down lo graun taim mipla luksawe olsem mipla wokim rong move na kam bek, those are politicians who don’t have the balls who are easily moved by dreaming offers and money hungry…. Thumbs up for you GJ Oro Governor, you do have the real colors of your Oro Butterfly, we can really see it…..

  • Wise man making decision before they do actions. Oro Gov you making the Right Decision. “The cliché “Rome was not built in a day” is very applicable here. like you said. This saws how wise you are. We PNGans know that PMJM is a chosen leader from God. We have NO doubt in PMJM .

  • Oro Governor GJ coined the catch phrase “take back PNG” and he is there for PMJM so the PM could seek advice to manure the ship.

Hon. Gary Juffa and Allan Bird are vibrant decisive leaders who are prudent in their decisions and what they speak has substance. Other national leaders should learn from them.
These two governors are PM Material and are matured leaders.

  • My congratulations to Hon Garry Juffa and the rest of MPs who have stood with PM during last Friday’s move by Opp Leader. This move was actually Orchestrated by Mother Nature inorder to separate Goat type leaders from the Sheep type leaders or from Disciples from just followers.

  • If one looks at the whole political scene at present you’ll see that there is really no need for a vote of no confidence at this time. Opposition politicians should come out as a group and tell the country what is happening. What are their true reasons for this whole movements. Personal reasons given by some very senior members are not good enough. Your people will not believe you. This is what’s happening now.

  • He maybe good for PNG.
Go to ORO and see what he has done for his province,
    He is another empty drum.

  • Paul this is not right, if you think he is empty drum, he should not be what he is today, every word that is thrown out normally returns just like Australian boomerang, always use helpful in such situations.

  • Oro and ESP provinces that were in opposition got nothing under PO because they spoke against POs government of failing to address corruption issues that was eating into the the fabric of our core government system. ORO and ESP provinces and Madang district stood up for us. Oro and ESP provinces under PMJM will receive substantial projects in 2021 budget.

  • Joe Ima, I think it wright to tell the truth.
What is the role of politicians?
Oro is one of the most under-developed provinces in PNG.
If he can not develop his home, he can not develop PNG.
Been there recently and know what is like at his home province since he has been in-charge for 8 years as governor.
Take a weekend trip to Popondetta to see for yourself.

  • Wise leaders speak speak wisdom and Juffa is on of those rare leaders in the country. Thank you our great leader for showing your stand and solidarity with the government for the simple people of PNG.
