FARMERS in Chimbu will benefit from a K2.3 million funding within the national agricultural development programme.
At a ceremony in Kundiawa last week, the farmers from the six districts were urged to improve their work and productivity.
Topping the funding list are the coffee growers who received more than K700,000. Livestock farmers are next.
The department of primary industries principal adviser Damien Toki said the funding should benefit everyone involved in agricultural activities.
Provincial administrator Joe Kunda Naur said the funding was a seed assistance to boost the activities of the farmers in very difficult geographical conditions.
Naur reminded the farmers that services delivery remained the priority of the Simbu provincial government and administration.
Deputy Governor of Chimbu Teine Sogan urged the farmers to ensure that they made some progress in their activities for their own benefit.
