K2 from Wednesday

National

PNG is a country like no other.
While beautiful and breathtaking, the terrain poses huge challenges for infrastructure that would connect all parts of the country.
Roads are expensive to build and in many areas also unsafe which leaves air transport as the only option to move people and goods.
Delivering The National to a city or a village is no different. It costs us millions of kina every year to do so.
Air freight rates have increased again and we can no longer absorb the costs.
From January 2, The National will also be K2 a copy in Lae and Port Moresby, as in other parts of the country.
Prices of goods and services have been increasing over the past few years and we are grateful for your understanding that a cover price increase is therefore inevitable.
We thank our clients and readers who have made The National the country’s best-selling daily newspaper.
We will continue to strive to serve you better.
