K2mil for city fencing project

City Manager Bernard Kipit says National Capital District Commission has allocated K2 million to remove Colorbond and razor-wire fencing in the city.
Kipit, however, said this money was not enough.
“Governor Powes Parkop and I have decided to allocate this budget for the commission enforcement unit and the contractor.”
Kipit said there was only one experienced contractor in the NCDC to carry out the fencing policy.
He said they were currently working on Touaguba Hill.
“There is no stop to the fencing policy,” Kipit said.
“The policy is here to stay, whether or not they complete removing fencing in the city.
“The message is that the commission is removing all razor-wires and Colorbond fencing.
“Developers, when developing new properties, must make sure to comply with NCDC’s fencing policy.”
