Confirmed: Czuba gets the top job

FATHER Jan Czuba has been confirmed Secretary for Higher Education Research Science and Technology.
He had been acting in the position since May 2017 after the resignation of Prof David Kavanamur.
The National Executive Council approved Czuba’s confirmation this week.
Minister Pila Niningi said he had faith in Czuba and looked forward to working with him to improve the standards of higher education.
“We want the best for our children and we will continue to work together to bring change and development to the department,” Niningi said.
“We will work together to make sure that we make a difference and improve all the universities, colleges and tertiary institutions.”
Niningi said Czuba had extensive experience in education, including developing Divine Word University.
Czuba thanked the Government and Niningi for their confidence and promised to continue working towards improving the standard education in the country.
