KAGUA-Erave MP Maina Pano and Nipa-Kutubu MP Dr Billy Joseph launched a K90 million road project last week.
The road is expected to benefit more than 30,000 people living in Kagua-Erave and the Ialibu-Pangia.

The Rindata Kuare road project launch was held at Koali Lombo village, and the sealing is part of a missing link identified under the Connect Papua New Guinea programme, expected to be completed within 36 months.
“The launch signifies the commencement of immediate work on the long-anticipated Rindita Kuare road sealing for the people living along that stretch of road,” Pano said. He encouraged local people to maintain peace and good order as the contractors work to complete the project.
Joseph gave credit to Pano for his efforts in securing this vital project.
He told the people to embrace the project and start economic activities, including growing coffee, once the road is completed.
Contractor Civpac was challenged to deliver the project on scope and schedule with quality workmanship for the people.
Civpac assured the Government and people that work will start immediately with mobilisation of equipment and plants underway.
The road, when completed, would connect Kagua Central and Koare and further link Ialibu-Pangia and Mendi Munihu.
Leaders in Kagua were thankful that the Government had finally funded the project.
