CENTRAL province Governor Alphonse Moroi, through the provincial education division, has given a new dinghy and motor worth K21,000 to the Kairuku district.
“We are providing these assets to help the district with logistics in education and relevant activities.
“We are doing the best we can to help teachers, education inspectors, students and parents to improve basic services. Transport is a major sector
 in development.
“We have presented a dinghy to Abau district already and now we are presenting another one to Kairuku,’’ he said.
Moroi said he had a close working relationship with Kairuku-Hiri MP Paru Aihi and they had tried to supply the basic infrastructure to the district.
He thanked the provincial and district administrations to get the dinghy and motor to ease transport problems on the river.
Deputy provincial administrator Gei Raga thanked the governor for helping the district.
“Our theme of “Going rural” says it all. And that has been our focus to get things moving,”Rage said
