Department of Justice and Attorney General will be relocating its officers in Mendi, Southern Highlands, to the soon to be built community justice Centre in Imbonggu, Secretary Dr Lawrence Kalinoe says.
Kalinoe, pictured, who received the first component of the project funding of K100,000 yesterday, said following the problems in Mendi they had made the decision to move their officers to Imbonggu.
“We will be lucky to have our facilities at Walume and Pangia, so we will have the ability to move our officers around,” he said.
“We will put this funding through our process for contractors and we will eventually get the work proceeding.”
Kalinoe said the centre would also have a court house as well.
“When we have the court structure there, that will give the opportunity to have both the national and district court circuits in Walume,” he said.
