Keep Sir Michael’s memory alive

Letters

OUR founding father’s name is synonymous to Papua New Guinea’s politics and is a household name in the Pacific.
Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare had leadership traits like those of South Africa’s Nelson Mandela and India’s Mahatma Gandhi.
He deserves global recognition for his achievements.
We have a responsibility to ensure his name remains renowned.
We have to keep his memory alive for our future children to know him.
We have a responsibility to ensure that Sir Michael’s name continues to be a household name in the country.
I wish Sir Michael’s name is written on the K50 note beside his image in honour of him.

  • Justin above all we should thank the Good Lord for what he has done through Grand Chief Michael, will continue to bless this Nation to the next level, without God all the good things he has done would not have been accomplished.
