Keep up the good work, Juffa

Letters, Normal

I REFER to your report (June 18) where Customs Commissioner Gary Juffa warns foreigners to respect PNG laws.
He is right to issue this warning when seizing crude oil worth K40 million.
I have high respect for Juffa and the work he has done since taking over the Customs division under the IRC.
I want to commend him for cleaning up the mess and making the Customs a force to be reckoned with.
The country is behind him in his effort to weed out corruption.
Many people are taking advantage because of the poor implementation and policing of our laws.
Until our lawmakers, policymakers and enforcing agencies strictly implement and police our laws, illegal activities will continue to be rampant.
