Kerema netball competition back

NETBALL in Kerema has been revived after a two-year break.
Netball enthusiast Josephine Mero, started a preseason competition, after seeing many young girls roaming aimlessly around Kerema town and neighbouring village with nothing to do in terms of recreation.
“We have eight clubs and after the trials we will get a proper competition underway and hopefully be eligible to participate in regional and national tournaments,” Mero said.
Mero said Kerema netball used to be force to be reckoned with at regional tournaments in years past and she called on former players and supporters to come forward and get involved in helping put Kerema netball back as a competitive and vibrant code.
