Kerowagi MP must start delivering services

I WAS one of the candidates who stood in the elections and lost.

Those who read this can be forgiven for thinking that I am biased.

The reality is Kerowagi is a dead district or so it seems.

There is no clear direction of what policies the MP has for the district.

What is his education policy?

What is his health policy?

Is there any policy on fixing the rural road networks which have fallen apart over the past 37 years?

What about the bridges that have collapsed?

What about rural electrification?

I read in the papers and see on EMTV and Kundu2 that many MPs are going full steam with development projects.

MPs are paying school fees, building roads, bridges, infrastructure and engaging in rural electrification.

I see MPs such as Anton Yagama for Usino-Bundi, Enga Governor Peter Ipatas and Yangoru-Saussia MP Richard Maru, just to name a few, are in the midst of rolling out development programmes.

I understand there are two election petitions against the MP.

But he cannot use that as an excuse for not delivering.

Other MPs are getting their hands dirty and working hard to bring development projects.

Kerowagi needs development as we have already wasted 10 to15 years.

Prime Minister Peter O’Neill was right when he said PNG was a country of missed opportunities.

We want to see tangible development.

When are we going to get some clear directions in Kerowagi?
