KEY witnesses in an armed robbery and killing of a man outside Westpac Bank in Waigani, Port Moresby, on June 1 have been identified, police say.
But no arrest has been made yet, National Capital District Met Supt Perou N’dranou confirmed.
Job Apara, from Imbonggu in Southern Highlands, was held up and shot by several gunmen when he was driving out of the bank at about 3.30pm.
The National, on of June 3, reported that Apara was shot at close range and his vehicle was taken along with an unspecified amount of cash.
Apara, who was badly wounded, was rushed to the Port Moresby General Hospital but died later.
“Forensic and criminal investigations divisions officers were at the crime scene, took photographs and collected bullet shells,” Met Supt N’dranou said.
