Kimbe sports backed by local firms

WHEN you are part of the community, you are also responsible for supporting the community you live in.
This is the idea behind the backing of the West New Britain Public Servants Private Partnership games by the Chinese business community in Kimbe as they presented K8000 in support.
Spokeswomen Irene Seeto said they were proud to sponsor the games as it promoted unity and friendship in the township.
West New Britain Sports and Recreation Authority chairman Patrick Mavihi acknowledged the assistance.
“The Public Servants and Private Partnership Games is a way of promoting healthy lifestyle for the public servants and promote unity, friendship and networking within the private sector firms as well,” Mavihi said.
The sporting codes being played include soccer, rugby sevens, basketball, volleyball and netball with the finals are expected to be played this weekend.
