Kokopo launches fashion runway

Kokopo city came to life last Saturday evening with the Kokopo Runway 2019.
The show also featured people living with disabilities as emerging designers in the province to showcase their designs in the latest fashion trends.
It was made possible through PNG fashion festival skills and capacity building programme 2019 through PNG-Australian partnership.
Founder and director of the PNG Fashion Design Week Janet Sios said: “The Kokopo fashion runway show featured 16 emerging designers from ENB, New Ireland and the Autonomous Region of Bougainville joined with three PNG leading designers.”
The three PNG leading designers are Anna Amos from AA Tribal, Wandid Amini Korimbo from Niugini Native and Kenny Ng from Kenny PNG as well as 60 models all from East New Britain.
