Kokopo still in back-to-school shopping mode

STATIONERY shopping in Kokopo is in full swing, despite the school year already underway.
Students and parents were going around buying school stationery supplies.
The National in Kokopo got up with a student from Our Lady of Sacred Heart (OLSH) Kabaleo Teachers’ College shopping for school supplies.
Max Yudister, a third-year student from OLSH Kabaleo Teachers’ College, Chimbu, said he wants to serve his people in Chimbu as a primary school teacher after graduation.
He appealed to this year’s grade 12 students who may be interested in teaching to choose OLSH Kabaleo Teachers’ College as their first choice.
“OLSH Kabaleo Teachers’ College is one of the best and top teachers’ colleges in the country, therefore, I am urging students from the Highlands region to come to Kabaleo,” Yudister said.
He urged his fellow students from the Highlands studying at Kabaleo or other institutions in East New Britain to work hard and aim high.
“Our parents invested so much on our education,” Yudister said.
“That is why we must score good results to make them happy.”
