UNIVERSITY of Papua New Guinesa and Media Metro Ltd are working together in a premium advertising partnership.
The business agreement will see the erection of high-quality billboards on UPNG land, initially along the busy Waigani Drive frontage of the university property.
The partnership brings together the largest and best university in PNG with an innovative outdoor billboard advertising agency.
“We have prime public land frontage that every motorist looks at every day, so it makes business sense to capitalise on that asset and turn it into an investment that will produce revenue,” UPNG acting vice-chancellor Prof Kenneth Sumbuk said.
“There are professional organisations in PNG that will benefit enormously from advertising with Media Metro on university property.”
Media Metro Ltd already has high-profile billboards around Port Moresby and Lae.
All are professionally designed and positioned to give maximum returns to advertisers.
“We construct our billboards in areas that provide our clients with maximum marketing coverage,” said Media Metro chief executive Rich Brady.
“We recognise UPNG as an organisation which has prime road frontage that will produce good financial returns for our advertisers, the university and Media Metro (PNG).
“We plan to initially construct three quality billboards.
“I am sure that there will be many organisations that will want to take advantage of this new advertising location.”
