MORE than 73,000 grade 10 students will be sitting for their written expression examinations on Thursday.
Education Secretary Dr Uke Kombra said 73,931 students from 322 provincial high and secondary schools were expected to sit the examinations.
These included students from permitted schools not under the national education system.
He urged the provincial education authorities, governing councils, schools and communities to assist in safe-guarding the examination papers in order to avoid any form of malpractice that may compromise the results.
Kombra said they should be “vigilant and security conscious from when the examination papers reach the school and during the actual examinations.”
