Kramer: I am committed to hold law-breakers accountable

POLICE Minister and Madang MP Bryan Kramer says he will always commit his time to holding law breakers accountable.
Kramer’s statement comes after his recent Facebook posts analysing Opposition Leader Belden Namah’s court case and Namah’s comment that Kramer was “obsessed” with him.
Namah, during a media conference last week, called on Kramer to concentrate on his responsibilities to Madang and the police force.
“The Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary (RPNGC) is undergoing major reform and much is being done to address issues within the force, key among them is poor administration and corruption, which have been institutionalised in the RPNGC over many years,” Kramer said. He said once the police reforms took place, it would start to address many outstanding cases involving high profile people, including those who had a record of raging into court houses.
Kramer said Namah’s advice regarding his responsibilities to Madang were misplaced.
“I have been a Member of Parliament (MP) for just three years and a State Minister for one year.
“I came into office when the country – including my electorate – had been run down from years of poor and corrupt leadership.
“In contrast, the Opposition Leader has been in office 13 years, a State Minister for five years, held the second highest office in the country as deputy prime minister and still has very little to show.”
