Kuman: More than K115mil released for TFF funds

EDUCATION Minister Nick Kuman says more than K115 million for the Tuition Fee Free (TFF) funds has been released for the 2019 academic year.
Kuman said the total amount to be paid to schools included the allocations for the final quarter of 2018 which was withheld due to the late release of funds.
The funding is for elementary, primary, high, national high schools and vocational centers.
The transactions to the schools’ bank accounts will be effective from today.
He also urged schools administrations to use the money wisely, especially on priority areas that will help the schools begin the new academic year smoothly.
“I also call on all the teachers to resume duties starting Monday (today) to prepare for a full day’s teaching next Monday, Jan 28,” he said.
