Officers charged with rape, possession of porn materials

TWO senior officers based at the Hohola police station were arrested and charged with rape and being in possession of pornographic materials by the Policing Police Task Force Team (PPTFT) on Friday.
One of them has also been charged with the production of pornographic videos.
The incidents allegedly occurred on Jan 10 and 12 at the Hohola police station.
An 18-year-old woman (previously reported as a 15-year-old) had been detained at the station for allegedly wounding another female.
However, as the female cell block had been condemned, she was kept outside the cell but in the station.
The first incident occurred on Jan 10 at 10pm. Police alleged that the first officer, who was working on night shift, called her into his office and told her to undress.
Police allege that he told her to do as he asked so he would drop her charges. She refused. But he allegedly used force, grabbed her and sexually penetrated her.
The second incident which occurred on Jan 12 at 10am allegedly involved second officer called the teenager into his office and asked if she wanted to watch a video while waiting for her charges.
She agreed. He allegedly played a pornographic video. The woman stated that she was surprised but too scared to say anything.
While the video was on, he allegedly asked her to have sex with him but she refused.
He allegedly threatened her with a knife and sexually penetrated her using his fingers. After the incidents were reported to police, the task force officers confiscated the officer’s computer.
He, however had allegedly deleted all the videos and claimed to have been falsely accused. The team’s information technology specialist retrieved the files from the hard drive and found several folders of pornographic videos as well as his own series of pornographic video productions with three women.
Both officers have been detained at the Boroko cells awaiting their court appearances.
