Kwikila winner to ensure district is given priority

VIRITOGA Hereva has been elected as a Kwikila LLG councillor with an absolute majority.

His victory was declared at around 7pm in the presence of polling officials, police and community members.

Hereva said he had a lot to achieve to ensure that Kwikila was given priority in infrastructure development and human resources in the next five years.

He is confident of serving the community at Kwikila and Rigo and urged to them to work with him to ensure progress and service delivery. 

Meanwhile, Rigo rugby league president Freddy Nanai Silona is among 56 candidates contesting the Rigo LLG president’s seat. Polling is in progress.

Silona said it was a hot seat and people in Rigo wanted to see changes and not only lip service.
