Lady Hannah’s body arrives from Brisbane

THE body of Lady Hannah Dadae, wife of Governor-General Sir Bob, arrived in Port Moresby from Brisbane on Friday.
Sir Bob and two of their children, who spent the last few days with Lady Hannah until her death on Tuesday, accompanied the body home.
Deputy Prime Minister Charles Abel was at the airport to receive the party.
Pastors of the Evangelical Lutheran Church were the pallbearers and carried the casket to the ceremonial area.
Lady Hannah was a devout Lutheran.
Rev Gundu Kagl presided over the brief ceremony of songs and prayers before the casket was taken to the funeral home and then to Government House.
Abel expressed his condolences to Sir Bob and his family and also conveyed condolences from Prime Minister Peter O’Neill.
Government House staff and their families lined the entrance.
The funeral service will be held at Marimari Lutheran Church at 5-Mile today. On Wednesday, a funeral service will held at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lae at 10am before the burial at the Lae Cemetery.
