Lae name sides for hockey meet

THE heavy downpour over the weekend did not deter the players’ spirits at the Lae hockey field from participating.
In the women’s matches,  Atzera  walked over Sunam 9-0, bemobile beat Rapatona 4-1 and Iruba defeated Poromeri 1-0.
In the men’s division, Sunam beat Rapatona 4-1, Brothers edged Unitech 2-1 and Sandpipers beat Poroman 1-0.
Association president Martin Raurela has announced their training squads for the national challenge on July 11-17.
They include two teams for junior boys and girls divisions and two sides for the senior men’s  and women’s categories.
