Laga picks entries for kit store promo

LAGA Industries Ltd picked three entries from the Mamose for its Highlands Meadows cooking oil promotion draw in Lae last Wednesday.
The winner’s identity will be published after a vetting process.
One winner will be drawn from each region – Mamose, Highlands, Southern and the New Guinea Islands – with the lucky individual given full-kit container store valued at K25,000.
The Mamose draw was carried out at Laga Industries’ Taraka permises Rabtrad branch manager Scott Randal picking the first entry, Const Jude Krahori picking the second one and Laga regional sales manager from Mamose Monica Henao picking the third entry.
Five wholesalers and six supermarkets participated in the promotion that ran for three months starting in January and ending on March 28.
Henao said the Highlands Meadow cooking oil promotion draws were supposed to have been done on March 28 but were deferred because of the national state of emergency (SOE).
She said the draw was done taking into account the SOE’s social distancing with only a handful of staff present to witness the entries being picked out of a barrel.
“The winner for Mamose will be contacted in the coming days to redeem his or her prize as soon as we complete the vetting process and similar draws for the other regions will be conducted in the coming weeks,” she said.
Henao said like most companies affected by the SOE and its restrictions sales of products had been impacted.
