GOROKA Lahanis say they will receive their Covid-19 jabs this week following the Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League’s (PNGRFL) decision to have all Digicel Cup teams vaccinated before next Saturday’s season kick-off.
Lahanis manager Benji Filele told The National yesterday that the club had listed more than 60 personnel, including development players, for the jab.
“We have sent our list of players and staff to PNGRFL already,” he said. “Today (yesterday), I went to Goroka Hospital to make arrangements with doctors.
“Hopefully by Thursday or Friday, we will go through the vaccination process.”
But Filele said some of their personnel had doubts about the vaccine.
“Two officials and two players clearly stated that they didn’t want to be vaccinated,” he said.
“The bulk of the club seemed fine with it.”
