Land title has been given to rightful owner

Letters

I HAVE been prompted to write this to challenge one namely Pongo Hans Bonny of Madang, frustrated and waiting to receive his land title (The National, April 5).
The title of that property has not been transferred but is still with Suruka family, which is the sole owner and landlord.
Without our notice as landlord of Section 44; Lot 3 of Niu Street, Nabasa Road, Bonny is trying to make some back door deal with the NHC office Anna to claim the title.
Bonny is fully aware that he is only the caretaker of our family house and land.
He has been residing there without any rental payments since moving in.
Any family still living in Hundi, Umtan, Dabel, Niu and Aiau streets and along Nabasa Road towards Government Store will no doubt agree with the Suruka family because the house was built by the Commonwealth Department of Works (CDW) in late 1960s and given to our late father Bernard Suruka as the sole owner and landlord before the National Housing Corporation (NHC) was established.
So be advised, Pongo Hans Bonny, don’t go beyond your thinking of trying to grab the title because you are not the next of kin of Bernard Suruka.
As to the NHC officer concerned (Anna), please don’t accept bribes and be involved in foul play with Bonny.
