Landowners form group to benefit from developments in province

A GROUP of landowners from Kundiawa, Chimbu, have formed a group to solicit benefits from developments taking place in the provincial capital.
Taiyaku Customary Landowners Association chairman John Mangi Naur said more Taiyaku clansmen and women needed to be employed in the town.
“We are now a registered entity that can be formally recognised and go into partnership with the local and national government, commercial (entities), the church and even non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and are ready to participate in further developments and the expansion of Kundiawa town,” he said.
Former Chimbu administrator Joe Kunda Naur, who is also the association’s patron, urged all landowners to form associations to get returns for the use of their land by companies and government agencies.
Association executives which represents an incorporated land group are Naur (chairman), Boi Niger (deputy), Apa Baligan, Bobby Nanu, John Kal, Kimin David and Bonny Miugle.
