Landowners urged to develop sound business structures

LANDOWNER companies have been challenged to have a sound business structure to compete for LNG-related business activities.
Hela Transition Authority chairman James Marape also called on all umbrella landowner companies like the Hides Gas Development Corporation and all PDL-based umbrella companies to embrace all clans and landowner groups to be truly representative of the people.
“As chairman of Hela Transitional Authority, I support companies that represent a vast majority rather than a few groups and individuals.”
Marape also urged the relevant government entities to release the business development grants to legitimate landowner companies to participate in LNG spin-off businesses.
He also encouraged landowner companies vying for business opportunities to adopt the corporate business culture to become successful in the world of business.
He said these companies must utilise ExxonMobil’s training courses and business skills programme to become successful business ventures.
