Law, order issues rife in Maprik

Letters

THE release of a criminal who had murdered a grade 7 student of Maprik Admin Primary School last week is a public threat to the local community.
There have been claims that at Maprik Police Station, money has been used to overthrow cases.
In addition, police officers are receiving money under the table to proceed or disqualify cases.
Please, as a citizen of Maprik, I am really scared because our law and order is now being controlled by people with huge amounts of money and not the regular grassroots.
I would like to make an appeal to the police commissioner and East Sepik PPC to conduct a special investigation to this matter and relocate such corrupt officers who are not capable of upholding the integrity of the sovereign State of Papua new Guinea and stabilise law and order in Central Sepik.
