A LAWYER from Astrolabe Bay local level government (LLG) in the Madang’s Rai Coast has assured his people of his assistance to educate and develop the area’s human resource.
Ramsy Pariwa, along with education officials, last Friday officiated the launch of four newly registered primary schools in the district.
Pariwa said the establishment of the schools would provide an opportunity for children from the LLG to receive an education.
“I want to make sure that there must be one primary school and elementary school in all the wards,” he said.
“If there are more pupils, we will build more than one school.
“I am pleased to see the changes happening in the village.”
Pariwa urged teachers of the schools and the parents and students to take pride in their schools and work collaboratively to improve education standards.
He also commended district and provincial education officials that had facilitated the registration of the schools.
Rai Coast inspectorate two school inspector Josephine Kaluk said the registration process had been a long and challenging one.
She said finance was a factor but they had worked to secure the registration of the 32 primary schools.
Kaluk commended Pariwa for returning to his LLG to support education and hoped this would inspire the people to work hard.
