THE Evangelical Lutheran church of Papua New Guinea (ELCPNG) gained negative publicity on the court case regarding the liquidation of Kambang Holdings and other related cases causing many in the church to lose faith in it.
ELCPNG secretary Bernard Kaisom in a report presented at the ELCPNG’s 32nd synod in Boana, Morobe, said the church’s partners in the government and private sector had also lost trust in the church.
“That is why we must gain back the trust of the church’s partners,” he said.
“The church needs stability in its different working levels (executive) between the head bishop, assistant bishop, church secretary, and department heads.
“There must be cooperation between the departmental heads and the administration staff.”
Kaisom said there also needed to be cooperation between the church’s overseas partner churches, church districts and institutions and the Government.
