Leaders must have integrity

MPs, constitutional office holders, heads of state owned enterprises and other senior public servants are subjected to the Leadership Code and other relevant Acts of Parliament that govern the offices they hold. But they must never forget that they are subjected to public scrutiny and the opinion of the public. They work for the people of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea and they must conduct themselves in the eyes of the public with honour and integrity and must never bring into question the integrity of the offices they hold. Everyone do make mistakes  and even those office holders are bound to make mistakes but like author John C. Maxwell puts it, “A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them.”
