MORESBY South Rugby League will resume its season at the Moresby South Stadium this weekend, after a three-week postponement due to non-payment of club affiliation and player registration fees.
Ladder leaders Gabutu Dragons will meet reigning champions Taurama Wolfpack tomorrow and Kaugere Seagulls will face Kipo Eastern Pride tomorrow.
The main fixture of the day will be between Sab City Raiders and Joyce Bay Roosters while Vabukori Mosquitoes will look to ease past Korobosea Souths.
In the women’s division, ladder-leading Dragons are expected to beat rookies Mosquitoes.
The match of the weekend will be a replay of the 2021 grand final between Two-Mile Pearls and Raiders.
On Sunday, the match to watch will be between Vadavada United and Kaugere Bulldogs.
In-form Bulldogs will start as favourites with Vadavada yet to hit their straps after starting slow in the first six rounds.
Bulldogs will be bolstered by the experience of lock Michael Yanis, hooker Gordon Negi and Maya Clark.
On the other hand, Vadavada coach Jesse Ketan will count on Jason Maima, Wawa Paul and Kingsley John to lead the side across the park.
