POLITICAL cronies and villagers going after North Waghi MP Benjamin Mul have been urged to leave him alone.
District resident Dr Micheal Dokup said other people were sick and tired of seeing Mul, who was also chairman of the Jiwaka Transitional Authority, harassed by his tribesmen.
Dokup believes that Mul who represent the whole district in parliament should be given space to deliver goods and services.
Mul now travels around with a security escort when in the district because people follow him around and make unnecessary demands.
“No wonder leaders prefer to live in Port Moresby and fear coming home because of such practices,” said Dokup.
Dokup says such action creates frustration and prevents leaders from doing their duties diligently.
“The seat belongs to the whole North Waghi people, therefore, the few who continue to follow him around like leeches should allow him to do some serious work before the national general election,’’ he said.
