Let our athletes enjoy Games without fear

 THE Papua New Guinea Defence Force is playing an important role in ensuring that there is peace and harmony in the Pacific Games. 

Their role is a much bigger role to ensure that all venues are safe. 

Mangi Mosbi, you are right in saying that you have not come across the soldiers.

However, let me assure you that you are safe and you may not have realised that you may have sat beside a solider in disguse in one of those venues. 

Our assigned troops for the Games venues do do not want to bring unnecessary fear to our Pacific neighbours by having fully armed military personnel at these venues and facilities. 

Let all athletes enjoy their compeititons in the teu spirit of the Games without any fear.
