Let sanity rule

IF this report is correct (Villagers waiting for payment, September 4,) look at the numbers: K480 million in compo for 50 km of road.  That’s over K9 million per km in compo alone, with road engineering, design and construction costs still to come. This does not indicate the most productive land in the world.  It indicates idlers planting gardens and building shacks in the government’s right of way in the hope of making absurd compensation claims.  There is no way Asian Development  Bank or GoPNG funds should be diverted to meet these demands. Let sanity rule.
