Let us stand together

IT is disappointing to read about people holding responsible public offices complaining about money during this difficult time.
If you cannot think outside the box or be innovative in administering or managing public offices during such difficult times, you might as well quietly move out and leave the position to another capable person to take over. There is no need to wave your inability or rather incompetence in public and accusing the Government for being negligent and all the craps.
Incompetent and unfit public officers must not take advantage of the media and continue to wave their inabilities in public.
There are smart, intelligent, wise and capable people out there in hundreds of thousands that can do a better job and they deserve to lead upfront.
The country is going through some difficult times financially but that does not mean the country is broke or bankrupt.
The country is managing meagre resources carefully to ensure that critical social and economic services are prudently managed to sustain growth and provide the necessary stimulus needed to maintain investors’ confidence.
Going through such challenging economic period is an integral part of a young and growing economy which depends heavily on external economic market factors.
To say that the Government is irresponsible or the prime minister is not fit is grossly malicious and improper against the best prime minister we have.
The country has seen and experienced change like never before under O’Neill’s leadership and he continues to work harder to consolidate their trust.
On the world stage, O’Neill is a blockbuster, giving the world the impression of Papua New Guinea as a successful emerging economic power in the South Pacific that cannot be discounted anymore by its neighbors’.
What the country needs now is for people holding responsible positions in both the private and public sector to demonstrate credible resilience and employ innovation or creativity in managing their limited resources during this difficult time.
With the Apec a few months away, we must stand together behind our government and prime minister to showcase to the world all the wonderful things about our country and leave a lasting impression on our guests and visitors. Countries that goes through fire emerge successful and we are just testing the heat.
