Lifeline for dropouts

Letters

THIS is in support of your editorial (The National, Oct 10), “Who’s going to throw dropouts a lifetime?”
The Human Development Institute provides a unique learning opportunity to develop mindsets of people to prosper in life and to change the current status of this great nation of Papua New Guinea where everyone is able to contribute to nation building and to become self-reliant and financially independent.
At HDI we have a lifeline for dropouts, unemployed and unemployable.
HDI has training programmes available to cater for the masses of school leavers who will be left out from furthering their education and those who cannot find jobs.
Human Development Institute’s personal viability training helps one to become self-reliant and financially independent and to rediscover oneself as a person first.
It helps you to find your strengths, weaknesses, potential, skills, talents and the unlimited opportunities you have available within you and around you.
True education is mind-development because it is where you are forced to think for yourself, to create ideas and options to cater your needs.
Personal viability can be achieved through the continuous use of the unlimited power that is potentially available within each person.
Parents and guardians can no longer afford to have their children as liabilities in their lives and it is time we take that brave step to make that change now, to convert our children into assets for us, the community and the country as a whole.
“If we give you fish, we feed you for a day. If we teach you how to fish, we feed you for life”.
Reach out for the lifeline, you won’t regret it.
