Livestock company back in business after a decade

THE Livestock Development Corporation (LDC) can now undertake its business functions after the swearing-in of its board members after a lapse of 10 years.
They are Department of Agriculture and Livestock secretary Daniel Kombuk as chairman, managing director Terry Koim, deputy chairman Martin Ginyaru, Ian Mopafi and Konney Samuel.
Agriculture and Livestock Minister John Simon said he was happy with the board composition.
“LDC in the past received funding but nothing to show for it,” Simon said.
“They did not have a board to run LDC. I am very happy with our current board.”
Simon said they had started the process in Erap, Morobe.
Kombuk said they would work with Simon and the Government.
“I want to assure the minister and everyone that we will do our best,” Kombuk said.
Koim said the board would take care of issues outstanding for a very long time.
