THREE local level governments (LLGs) in Henganofi, Eastern Highlands, received new vehicles to help deliver services to their respective areas.
Henganofi MP Robert Atiyafa and district development authority (DDA) facilitated the purchase of the vehicles at Boroko Motors in Goroka.
Atiyafa presented the keys for the vehicles to the three LLG presidents at the Goroka National Day Park on Monday.
The presidents who received the vehicles were Ikana Avoka (Fayantina LLG), Johne Sima (Dunantina LLG) and Kepsy Kebo (Kafetina LLG).
Atiyafa urged them to use the vehicles for their intended purposes and help deliver services to the people.
Atiyafa said Henganofi had changed greatly over the past seven years where he had facilitated to end 38 tribal conflicts and made significant investments in human resource development by paying school fees for Henganofi students studying in tertiary institutions.
“When you invest in human resources, you will not see immediate results but you will see it in 15 to 20 years’ time,” he said.
