Lockdown schools

Letters

PRIOR to the upsurge in the Covid-19 cases in the nation’s capital, it is my opinion that the Government lockdown all elementary to secondary schools nationwide until 2021.
Colleges and universities may be given consideration.
Port Moresby is the nucleus of the nation and having the most number of Covid-19 cases, it will certainly spread to other parts of the nation.
It is obvious that the Government is prioritising the economy in its decision-making regarding the pandemic.
My question is: Does the economy generate life or does life generate the economy?
We really need to set our priorities right.
Our peoples’ lives should be our utmost priority.
No life, no education, no human resource, no economy, no nation.
The Government needs to sacrifice other necessities for human life (simple economics dogma).
The world is brought under a curse and PNG is no exception (what goes around, comes around – the law of nature).
Face masks and social distancing is not working in the United States so which part of this lesson do we not understand. Take the appropriate course of action now.
