Looking to future with mixed feelings

Letters, Normal

WHILE the opposition and many anti-government individuals and organisations have hailed the Supreme Court’s decision on the Integrity Law, some people like me are looking to the future with mixed feelings given the past undesired experiences.
The only reason the opposition pursued the matter to the Supreme Court was because it had no real chance of forming the alternative government in the current Parliament.
They also know that if they were to succeed, then it will take PNG back to the years of chronic political instability.
The opposition, therefore, tacitly agreed that it is all right for MPs to hop from a political party to another at will.
Sustainable political stability is not a priority as are policy stability, prudent management of macroeconomic and fiscal regimes.
I think the opposition is irresponsible.
