The Tusbab Stallions, in partnership with Sino Niugini Ltd, unveiled their new uniform over the weekend in their round 12 match of the Kumul Petroleum National Soccer League (NSL).
Stallions patron Conrad Wadunah said the arrival of the uniforms for the club was a timely gesture that showed the continued support for Madang’s only NSL team.
“While we are the only Madang-based team in the National Soccer League, we may not have a major corporate partner but we’ve surely won many supporters for the club,” he told The National.
The club was presented a set of playing jerseys from Sino Niugini managing director, Tommy Foilly, who purchased the uniforms for the team.
Foilly during the presentation said: “It’s good to be partners with Tusbab Stallions.
“Sino Niugini is proud to be associated with the club and we will work together to promote football development within the club, and the soccer community in Madang and the country.”
Meanwhile Madang town Mayor Ishmael Yama commended the partnership between Sino Niugini and the Stallions for bringing football to youths in Madang. “While I am happy to be here to witness the unveiling of this new uniforms, as your mayor it is my responsibility to see how we can all contribute to engaging youths in our communities,” he said.
The Stallions are currently fourth on the NSL ladder and will be facing second-placed Vitiaz United in their round 13 fixture in Port Moresby on Saturday.
