Mald: Be active in sports

MORESBY Northeast MP Andrew Mald yesterday called for full cooperation from his electorate if they want to successfully implement the K250,000 sports programme which was launched recently.
Mald told the crowd, especially youths, to be actively involved in the sports programme.
He said the money was derived from the Northeast electorate’s district improvement services programme (DISP) funds.
He said the money would be used during the Christmas and New Year sporting activities.
The programme basically covers the  tournament in 13 different wards in Northeast electorate which started during last Thursday and will continue till December for Christmas Cup.
Mald also announced that next year, he would spend K40,000 for sports and churches to try to eradicate the law and order problems in his electorate.
