Vision City Mega Mall has experienced an increase in the number of customers this festive period due to the screening of the Aquaman movie at the Paradise Cinema.
Mall manager Anderson Ting said they broke the box office record with the Aquaman screening witnessing long queues and early rush.
“We will be introducing a new ticketing system by March next year to improve movie-going experience,” he said.
“We saw patrons to cinema and customer flow being very overwhelming.”
Ting said they would maintain the same trading hours next year.
Marketing manager Maureen Esta said Santa Claus was at the mall giving out gifts like lollies, presents from Huawei and other goodies courtesy of Huawei and Vision City.
“Santa is throwing some questions to the kids, and then they have a gift after answering,” she said.
“Santa’s helpers were also giving away lollies and goodies to shoppers.
“Of course, the kids also enjoy pictures with relatives, parents or friends besides Santa Claus.”
Esta said the mall was also open at night for customers to go there and watch Christmas lights set up at the mall, take pictures and share the spirit of the festive season with family and friends.
She said that was one way for them to acknowledge their customers’ support during the year.
There were Christmas trees set up in the mall atrium where customers and shoppers could take pictures and also bright lights set up at the new wing.
Ting said it was good to have a safe place for families to go during this long break.
