Man accused of defaming stepmum

A-27-year-old man accused of using Facebook to post defamatory comments against his stepmother had his case adjourned to March 25 for further mention.
Gulling Stoessel, from a mixed parentage of Morobe and Central, appeared before Magistrate Tracy Ganaii for the second mention.
He is accused of making defamatory remarks against his stepmother Salote Mucunabitu, a Fijian.
Mucunabitu is the legal wife of Gulling’s father, Capt Max Stoessel, who is the principal owner of Niugini Pilots Ltd.
Max alleged that his son (Gulling) had tarnished his name and reputation by making such comments against his wife Mucunabitu.
It is alleged that last Dec 17, Gulling through his Facebook wall (Gulls Stossel), posted obscene language to describe Mucunabitu.
Last Dec 20, Gulling allegedly posted similar abuse against her.
It was alleged that Gulling’s posts were made to tarnish her reputation.
Gulling is out on an extended K400 court bail.
